My wife drives a 2006 Toyota Rav4, black, base model, 4 cyl, 4wd. We love the car, gas mileage is great...low 20s (22,23), high 20s on the highway (27,28)...just don't like the car payment. There's plenty of room inside the car, they actually made these with an optional 3rd row of seats (which we did not take advantage of) but the 2nd row of seats moves forward and backward and the seat reclines...more legroom than my Audi A6...more if you have a short passenger...
