Nothing big I just don't normally drive like an ***. But a fella in a what appeared to be stock '03 Cobra (which are supercharged) was taunting me on I-40 in NC.
So we ran 'em from about 55 to 135 and I walked his *** to about 1 1/2 car lengths. He gave a thumbs up and had a "wtf just happened look on his face". Probably didn't help that my car still looks completely stock.
I grinned and proceeded home at a normal pace.
I kinda felt bad because he looked like he was enjoying his ride home from work feeling good with his car all shined up.

 

those cobras are naaaasty. whats done to your car?

 

Unless you have alot of work done, chance are he was just a regular GT with Cobra badges and front end. Sadly that happens alot. That or he had the horrible driver mod

I know what your saying but I definitely heard a roots-type whine when he punched it.
Believe me, I've been a deep down Ford guy all my life. And I used to own a 2001 GT with a Procharger Ps1. I was actually surprised and strangely disappointed in the SVT also.
But my car is no slouch either so I knew would at least have a chance or go down swinging.
Trust me this is hardly a kill story though. I just thought his reaction was funny. It took me from 55 to 135 to pull that much on him. And he was completely shocked.
Too bad he couldn't see my car seat and mirror in the backseat as I slowly passed him (yes it was unoccupied!).

I seen that you have a Tip in that stage 3 how is that working, how long been done, did u do tip chip or any thing else to the tranny. Have been thinking of doing stage 3 but have Tip and dont want to be replacing it..

 

good run!! i would assume that it was definitely a stock cobra if you only pulled on him by 1-2 car lengths.. a stock gt or even a s/c gt for that matter wouldnt touch a stage 3.. now if the cobra had a chip and a pulley.. well lol

 

^my buddy had a nasty cobra that was chipped with an underdrive pulley. It was SCARY fast! But no matter what he did, he couldn't touch me in the corners
