LS2 GTO's are high 12's-low 13's stock. Even the LS1 GTO's were mid-high 13's.

LOL at you guys caring what you line up agianst at on test and tune. Refusing to race because you don't want to get beat??!! LOL! Trust me, the people watching thought you were gayer for not racing, than losing.

yes, you are correct. Might want to add stock to the quote. They are harder and harder to find. Minehad the Magnuson supercharger, but there are others to choose from (Procharger, STS turbos and TT) I never went to the track, (afraid of frying the clutch 2 hours away from home) but a good guess was mine could hit low 12's with DR's. A nice run with a stock Corvette C6, but I would get my rear end handed to me by a Z06.

Know a guy in NJ that s running low 9's in his '04, but he'd done crazy stuff to his. Way out of my league that's for sure.

 

ProCharger makes some great setups, espec for the LSX series of engines. My friend back home has a ProCharged '02 SS SLP. That ca is badass. Your GTO should have not had any trouble w/ a stock LS2 Vette. Maybe in the 1/4, but on a highway, you'd eat one for lunch. The new LS3 would prolly give you decent run. The Z06 is of course another story........

 

I agree with Z06guy.. race whatever. Don't back down, people know that a high strung V8 is gonna kill your little Fourbanger on the straight away.. its just a fact. Unless you have a BT setup, but even then you'll get a run for your money. Its nothing to be ashamed about! Just race

 

The GTO is pretty crazy. Don't tangle with American muscle unless you have serious mod's.
