B5 S4 vs. e46 M3
I was driving around 11 at night heading to a friends house, when I saw a bimmer trailing pretty quick from my rearview. The guy in the bimmer drove past me and stopped by the light. I pulled up right next to him and realized it was an e46 M3 drop top. He was atleast around 40 years old with some young lady (probably around mid 20's) in the passenger seat. The car looked bone stock. He was looking at me and I was looking at him and I told him "nice m3". But what really was uncalled for is that he had the nerve to say "so is that an S4 or did you just put those badges on that A4?" I was just shaking my head and said "yeah, I put those badges there" sarcastically. Then he started revving his engine, like he was trying to show off to his little lady, so I was just thinking to myself "screw it, lets see how well my stock S4 would keep up with an M3." I revved at around 3000 RPM's, and once the light hit green, I took off on him at around 3/4 car length. He was still about 3/4th car length behind until around 60mph he started picking up on me, about to pass me at about 65-70mph, until we both ended up braking hard at the next light. He ended up turning right at the light, not looking at me, but his lady friend gave me a smile. He probably didn't think that an "A4 with S4" badges can keep up. I respect M3's, and I know that they are a tad quicker than my car, but there is no need to say a-hole remarks like that, just because a young guy like myself can actually afford a pretty decent car.

I love the m3 and it makes me sick when there are stupid people driving them.
