I was doing some work on the weekend when a newer employee pulls up behind my plain A6 in his S-line A6. His car defintely looks faster and a bit nicer. He's a pretty cool guy and says, "hey you got a 2.7 and I have a 2.7, let's get it on." We are in a deserted business park so we line up on a nice straight away. I need new cats and I think I ripped my TBB as I hear the same sound from the last time I ripped it. I drive a C32 on the weekends, so my A6 has become my daily driver/cruiser. However, I still wanted to see how it did against an S-line. We line up and he puts his window down (no 3 honk method). He says ready.......then gets quiet. I say Ready..Set...Go and take off, seeing he didn't move I take my foot off the gas and he punches it..and then I do. Instantly I am playing catch up. My front bumper is on his rear door then his rear bumper, and then the beauty of my APR tune came into the picture. It was like his car just stopped as I shot by him. At a stop sign we talked and he just said, "I thought the S-line came with more hp than the regular A6. I don't know how the %$&% you passed me like that." I told him I have an APR flash. He now wants one. I know my A6 is not fast by today's standards, but is nice to see someone in shock when I jump on it.

 

what year is your car?? and i've heard from a lot of people that the APR tune is not very aggressive, or not aggressive enough.. are you 6MT? or tip ?? and what year is his car. probably an 04-06??

 

2001 tiptronic. I've also heard that the Giac chip is much more aggressive. The S-line was also a tiptronic.
