i just finished a race with a beamer and i couldnt tell if it was a M3 or a M5. i had quad exhaust tip. the first time i swear i saw a 5 but im still thinking it was a 3. we were neck to neck btw.

 

o it was the newer looking ones not the box looking one. i believe it was like 02 03? somewhere along those lines.

dude that describes every m in the book if it was a 4 door it was a 5 if not it was a 3

 

Simple: M3 is two-door, M5 is foru-door and would've completely raped you..... it was an M3....

 

M series after 99 has quad tips. M3's are 14/13 second cars, m5's are 13 second close to 12 second cars. M6's are low 12 second cars..

 

I have a chipped 2.7T allroad with exhaust, and a few other goodies. My neighbor has a BONE STOCK '03 M5.
From a 30 roll he's 2 cars in front of me before we hit 60
from 0-100 he has 6 cars on me
1/4 mile he has 7-8 cars

The only time it's a close race is when we are on real wet, or snowy roads. The quattro is better when it's wet. and on the curves (on a dry day) the M5 handles like it's on rails
