Smoked an M5 in wifes 4.7HO!
Believe it or not I was laughing all the way home... My wife drives a 04 jeep G.C. v8 4.7 high output (14mpg) From 60 on the highway I tore a pretty new lookin m5 apart! Then I slowed down and did it again from around 70. And yes it was a real m5
4.7 HO:
Engine Power (SAE net): 265-270 BHP @ 5100 RPM
Engine Torque (SAE net): 325-330 LB-FT @ 3600 RPM
M5 2001 E39 - They only get better through 01-08
Engine Power: SAE and 298 kW , 400 HP @ 6,600 rpm
EngineTorque: 369 ft lb , 500 Nm @ 3,800 rpm
Conclusion: Driver of BMW was not a good driver or the M5 was a poser. I just don't see a Jeep beating an M5 unless your SRT8.

yea, but depending on the year, all 5 series should beat a jeep, unless we are talking srt-8 which we are not.
I raced an Srt-10 durango not long ago on the freeway in the middle of the night... from 80 up to 140 we were neck and neck... then he gave up... i'm assuming the governor kicked in.... i wasn't expecting such a big suv move soo fast... i was laughing my *** off
This reminds of a tiny little drag I had the pleasure of witnessing not too long ago. A little jap ricer, complete with fart can and boeing wing, pulled up to a F350 with the turbo diesel (powerstroke is fords right?) and starting to buzz. Well the light turns green and little ricer and big truck take off. Next thing that happens, there isn't any ricer, just a big cloud of black smoke and the truck speeding by. it was hilarious
