true i used to beat corvette Z06's up the mountain roads in my 2001 Subaru 2.5RS like 165hp stock well mine wasn't stock but i know the road to an extent that it is an unfair advantage...

yeah i am trying to determine if it is already chipped or not....

ive had a b5 s4 for a few weeks now, and is relatively stock (rs4 trans and clutch), and just got rid of my 05 sti, which had 350 whp, i raced my friend doing highway pulls in his 02 s4 w/ giac chip, dp's intake, exhaust, and pulled numerous cars from 30 roll, and as comparison of stock to stock, the sti on all aspects is quite a bit faster from an even race, but i guess thats the price you pay for cloth seats and shitty ride.
Nice kill, I too get to prosper in the idea that my car might already be chipped but I don't know for certain until I get a boost gauge. I hope it's not though since I would like to be able to assume it can go faster for $500.
Stock STi is a lot faster than a stock B5 S4, they have seen high 12's stock, that is of course with a perfect launch and a great driver, still, I don't know of a stock B5 S4 hitting high 13's stock .. and there's a good chance of blowing your tranny launching an S4 harshly, STi trannys can take an enormous beating ..2fast4me made a good point though, your car is slower, but more luxurious, as the STi is faster and more uncomfortable.

I would take an S4 over an STi but I will admit Sti's hold up nicely to rough conditions. A friend of mine threw his into reverse going into 3rd at the top of rev limiter and nothing broke.
