A8L W12 - Suspension Amber Light

Hi all,

I have a 2006 A8L W12 with 62,000 KMs. Seems like this car (or the mechanics) is gonna give me more woes than expected. I recently took it to the Audi Dealer for changing all four brake pads. A few hours later, I went back and picked up the car. As soon as I drove off, I noticed something was wrong with the ride height, I pressed the CAR button to change the settings for Adaptive Air Suspension which to my surprise, were disabled. I also noticed a flashing green icon as well as an Orange/Amber icon that stayed on. I called the gentleman at Audi to lodge my complaint and to seek his advice for something I thought was a settings issue. He kept repeating, “We do not touch the suspension while doing a brake job”. After having tried turning the engine on and off several times and looking into Adaptive Air Suspension options, the suspension options appeared and I was able to lift the car. However, it went back to the same mode after a few minutes. The orange/amber icon is staying on. I am sure something happened during fixing the brake pads where they damaged sensors, air compressor or the whole suspension system itself.

any ideas?

could be a couple of things that could keep that light on. May just need the fault cleared out of the 34 module via VCDS or a VAS5052.

Took it to the dealer and they are saying the strut is leaking air. As per them there is no solution other than to replace the struts. The car fails to hold itself in lift mode and moments later it's back to a really low position. I think i'll have to order the struts. Would the struts for A8L 4.2 fit the W12? Any recommended online retailer?
