Audi A6 Avant, 2009, sport with Koni FSD shock absorbers

Hi all,

please help me to choose the right solution to fix my next problem. I had an A6 C6, 2009 Avant with factory sport suspension which I don't like it at all. It's to harsh for romanian roads that are a little bit bumpy :)

I read about the Koni FSD shock absorbers that will fix my problem and I will get a significant increase in comfort after mounting them.

Questions:

1. After installing the new Koni FSD, the car will be even lower than now? Considering that I already have the SPORTS factory suspension, that lowers the car with 20mm.
2. I intend to leave the factory sport springs on the car, it's ok or should I change them also with eibach?
3. Now I have 16'' rims on the car and I'm afraid to put 17'' rims until I change the shocks. After installing them, It's ok to move on to 17'' rims without sacrifice comfort?

Conclusion: Will the comfort significantly increase after this operation? Like I said, the sport factory springs will remain and I will change only the shocks with KONI FSD's.

Thank you so much for any helpful information.

Regards,
adrian

What would make you think the car will be any lower with the FSDs? The sport springs and shocks are lower than the regular setup so if you go with the new shocks if anything your car will sit higher, although the springs are what is giving you the ride height not the shocks. I was told if you are going with non sport shocks now you need to get non sport springs.

I have the base suspension in my 05 A6 and Im going with Koni FSDs as well, but I don't need to touch the springs. If I went with the Koni Red sports, I would need to change my springs as well. Make sense?
