Default B6 A4 1.8t Quattro , JOM coilovers?

I have an 2003 a4 1.8t quattro & I'm looking to lower it. I've done a fair amount of research looking for coilovers & i would love to by ksports or d2 but I am not trying to spend over 1,000 dollars on them. Ive seen these JOM coilovers for 460 and I found them around for even 240. I read they ride pretty good but I'm not certain on them. I'm from new york, long island and the streets over here aren't that great. I want to buy them asap if their good because i'm dying to lower my car, so any feed back would be great on them. Also, if i do lower my car do I need to change any control arms or anything at the same time?

Don't do it bro, it has fucked my car immensely. Are lower it only a half inch, I bought the car lowered, it has turned out to be a huge mistake, my front facia is gone, the underside of my car looks like a scratching post for an African lion, my right rear shock is blown, don't got passed an inch bro, it looks cool but those looks come at a price.
