Last month I ordered coilovers for my 2009 A4 Cabrio and after getting the rear installed without issue I realized that the front struts are incorrect. It turns out that the 2009 Cabriolet is actually a B7 and uses the older style struts but Solo Werks claims that their older style only fit either the Avant or the Sedan and they don't specify the cab at all. Since I already have the rear installed I'd like to stick with Solo Werks so can anyone provide a little guidance whether either the Avant or Sedan front struts are the same as the cab? Looking at generic auto parts store websites it looks like either will work as most of the struts are compatible with the Avant, Sedan and Cabriolet for the 2005-2008 years. I'm guessing that the spring rates may be the only thing that's different from the Avant, Cab and Sedan and since the Avant is closer in weight to the cab I'm thinking that the Avant struts would work but am hoping someone with expertise in this area can help.
