Most affordable way to lower an A4
I have an 08 Audi A4, and the stock height just looks gross. I don't want to spend the money on coil overs or exspensive suspension, I just want to lower it a bit, and still maitain the ride(as much as possible.) Any suggestions?

Heat each spring with a set of torches until the desired height is achieved.

Go with a set of H&R OE Sport springs. They should lower the car about an inch to an inch and a quarter, and you can use the factory shocks. With some care and a little knuckle busting, you can install these yourself and then just take the car to a good shop for an alignment after the springs settle (give it a couple of days). If you want to drop more than what the OE Sports do, you're going to have to replace the factory shocks as well, and at that point, you're better off just getting a set of coils.

As previously posted, by the time you buy a set of Bilstein shocks and the H&R Sport springs, you're not that drastically far off of a basic coil over setup like an H&R Street coil or the KW V1 coil over setup. |
