Quick Spring/Shock question A6
 

Hi guys. Does anyone know for sure, if the OEM springs and shocks/struts from a 2007 Audi A6 3.2 quattro, can fit into a 2000 Audi A6 4.2?

Because the Audi A6 3.2 Quattro used four links, double wishbone with anti roller bar suspension at the front wheel and independent suspension at the rear wheel, where as Audi A6 4.2 uses independent suspension on both at front as well as at rear. The springs stiffness is designed based on the frequency of vibration and capacity of vibration absorbance, so due to the different vibration absorbing capacity you can not use spring of Audi A6 3.2 Quattro in 2000 Audi A6 4.2.
