99 1.8 auto/quattro wondering if vag com can tell me more

Around 116k my car stopped going into reverse (except in limp mode)and would not go into the forward gears properly. It would start from a stop in 5th and would often finally get to the correct gear with a thud. I changed the fluid and filter and gradually things got better but not perfect. Well about 122k my car started doing it again and my obd scanner indicated that various gears had "incorrect gear ratios". I would reset it and after about 30 miles of this it would stop going into limp mode and perform ok. This stopped after about 750 miles. About a month ago I changed the trans fluid again as part of a bunch of other upgrades I was doing, including changing all fluids. Yesterday out of the blue everything started happening again (128k). I replaced the trans speed sensor today and it didn't change the problem. My vag com gave me the following results:

I am not that familiar with vag com yet and this is done of course with the auto scan. Is there something I can do to get more direct?

Ross-Tech Wiki if you haven't already checked this out you should. anyone that owns an Audi/Volkswagen product that is trouble shooting there own problems should bookmark this page. As far as your codes go....only time I have seen the "incorrect gear ratio" codes are when the trans has a malfunction and it is seeing the trans "slipping". Usually a mechanical problem, not a bad sensor or other electrical part like a solenoid. Good luck.

Luckily it was only the trans multi function switch. PLUS the electrical connections on the older Audi's are terrible. The two associated with the trans were filled with an oil water mix. I cleaned them put dielectric grease on the connectors put them back together and dipped them in liquid latex. Thanks for the input. Now I have a bad MAF to deal with
