Unhappy Check engine light, misfire and no power on my 2.7t a6 codes just scanned with vagcom

Hello guys, my 2.7T was running normal and then all of a sudded the check engine light went on, the engine started shaking misfiring and kept running like that.

I had a similar issue with my 1.8T Passat and it was a faulty ignition module. The issue with my A6 feels just the same.

ANY HELP? PLEASE??? I scanned it with my laptop using the vagcom software and these are the results:

Selfexplanatory:
16686 - Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected.

Replace the ignition coil (make sure the spark plug is sound).
Or swap the coils between cylinders and monitor if the misfire follows.

P0305 also - misfire on no.5. Separate banks, so probably coils rather than EGT sensor (your other fault), and not the ECMs because they would have to have failed simultaneously.

no, it was one of the ignition module, just as I suspected

Hi sir;
I just want to buy an A4 (2.8 V6) the engine light was on. the dealer said to me it's nothing and it's because of coil and something like that. he said to me that I garanty the transmission and e checking for 90 days. I like that Audi, should I trust him! Might it be a serious problem for car? could you please help in this regard!

I should mention that that! the car runs great and there is no problem or misfiring or any thing else that I could see.

Also, I recognize that they cleared the codes of that car and right now the engine light is off.
I look forward to hearing from you as soon.

Thread highjack! But I will respond anyways. Wait until the CEL comes back on and have him show you all the trouble codes. Then do the research on what the codes are. Never buy the darn thing if the CEL is on and you don't know what the codes are.

Being an Audi owner, I wouldn't take one even if some one paid me money for it

From my experience with recent Audis, once you replace spark plugs and coils you will have a reliable car. Coils are fairly cheap at $30ea, or check your mail for the coil recall.
