Hi,

I bought one of those cheap cables from ebay, until i get the money for the real one. I installed the program. I installed the drivers.

I have software 409. Now i ran into some problems. I have the impression that i do somthing wrong. On COM 3 the program display the follow message

Port Status: OK
Interface: Found
Type: Serial pass Through
Opto/Iso: No
Ross Tech design: No

So help would be appreciated.

it should look like this if the cable isn't plugged into your car

try switching it to COM 4 instead of COM 3 and it should fix it

Try using version 311.2. Also make sure that your COM ports 3 and/or 4 are actually open and available.
