Vas 5051b Fault

Hi there,
Just wondered if theirs anyone out there with Diagnostic equipment experience. I have a ex dealer Vas 5051b Diagnostic and have been experiencing a fault. When I've loaded the Vas pc software up and then go to connect to vehicle this fault appears.
"Diagnostic Bus Fault" (This diagnostic interface ( VCI) is not correctly installed. Please close the application and configure the diagnostic interface.
Any help would be appreciated.

In the USA the dealer tool comes from Ross-Tech and is called VCDS (or VAG-COM,an older name). Is this what you have?

Thanks for the reply I've managed to sort the problem out now by re-installing all the software.
Seems to have done the trick.
