BT A4 with nearly every upgrade possible NYC 4,000
2001 A4 TQM
171,000 miles
The good
Paint is in good shape with no clear coat fade. No rust and very few chips.
Motor runs mint and compression and leak down check when turbo and all hardware was installed 10,000 miles ago was well within spec.
Tranny shifts great. No grinds or anything.
In the last 10,000 miles the following have been replaced or installed using brand new parts.
Engine
E-bay FMIC
2871R eliminator
630cc injectors
ATP manifold
ATP TIP
Turbo XS BOV
Milltek full exhaust
Labree High flow cat
Podi boost gauge pod with a digital gauge
Hallman Pro-Rx Manual boost controller
Transmission
FX-400 6 puck clutch
15lb clutchmasters flywheel
E-bay Short shifter
Suspension
PSS9 coil overs
Hotchkiss Rear sway bar
New front hubs
16 or 17lb 17" light weight black and silver rims with nearly brand new conti extreme contact DWS tires in 235 45 17''
new brake pads and rotors up front
The car handles insanely well for a nose heavy open diff pig and will rotate and change lines with your right foot.
A new alternator and all new coil packs and plugs were done in the last 3-5,000 miles.
All electronics work. A/C blows cold, heat works mint, cruise control ,etc.
Has PL,PW,CC,heated seats, auto climate, sun roof. Sport package and cold weather package. Has every option available that year except nav.
The Bad
Needs timing belt done soon.
Has a bad passenger side front axle.
Front bumper is in good shape, just needs to have re-bar cut to fit back on.
Front passenger side quarter panel is dented a bit from having fenders rolled and tire shop stripping hub and the wheel came off. passenger door is fine just the black plastic trim piece came off.
Got backed into by a co-worker and a small gouge in rear bumper.
Driver seat front braket snapped. need new seat or bracket welded.
Coolant temp sensor needs replacement and car runs a bit cold. If you were to DIY all these except paint it could be fixed or remedied for under 1,000. Then build the motor when you get around to it and have a 400hp track car. Or part out and take what you want and sell the rest. The car has been good to me over the last 4 years and 70,000 miles, but now it is time to part ways and go to the dark side. I think I've listed ever issue there possibly is and the price is rather fair. However if gone by this weekend I promise you a deal that you couldn't get half the parts on it alone for.

Buying a bimmer?
I'm going to be buying one too but I'm keeping mine. You should do the same. Or part your car and make more

I could easily part out for 6grand plus, but I am looking to go back to school and am actaully gonna shoe horn my fat *** into a more fuel efficent miata with a Bimmer when I graduate in a year or so. I really don't have the time and the car is at my mothers house. If I don't get my 4g's I will just part it out come spring and make almost twice the money. Damn shame since a 1,000-1,500 in parts and paint and I'd have a nice little rocketship. Getting old and having to mature sucks. If someone gets it they can just part it and turn a nice profit.
