Default Looking for a Mechanic in the OC area

Need to take in the 98 to the doc, for the first time by me. I don't want to do the stealership route. Looking for a Doc to give her a physical and to take care of some hoses.[up]

<Preferably in Orange County but willing to travel this weekend>

Canyon Racer Motorsports in Mission Viejo
(949) 939-5549 ask for Michael
^^ That's where I take my car currently and I couldn't be happier with Michaels service

If you are closer to Long Beach let me know becuase I know another guy that has a shop and used to work @ Audi, and VF amongst other places; so he writes you up like you are at the dealer... for a lot less

Since purchasing my used 04 Cabriolet I too have been interested in finding a mechanic that is cheaper than the dealer. I live close enough to Long Beach and would like to know the name as well.

Does anyone know someone in closer to Buena Park/La Mirada area? McKenna in Norwalk I am sure would be way too expensive.

Thanks

No not yet...I need some work done on a check engine light that is preventing me from smogging the car in CA. The last mechanic changed some hoses telling me it was that, it wasn't. Now he says its some kind of filter, well I am not gonna let him touch it and keep misdiagnosing the problem while dinging my pocketbook each time. That's why I have turned to this forum for help.

Hey if you are in the oc area come by my house and I will vag it for free. At least this might give you a head start on what the problem could be.
