Default buying new tires, do i need to worry about TPMS?

I'll be buying new wheels and tires shortly. Do I need to worry about buying new tire pressure sensors? I plan to keep my current all season tires for winter. Is the sensor moved from 1 set to another? Or would the new tires/wheels come with their own sensors?

Hi,

Are asking about TPMS for your 2010 A4 2.0? If so, the TPMS system is actually incorporated into the ABS system. There are not sensors in the wheels so you do not need to purchase anything new.

If you are looking for tires or wheels and tires please contact me. I will be happy to discuss some great options for you.

oops. ya sorry, it is for '10 A4. Thanks for the help. Probably a dumb question, i know.

I am shopping for performance summer tires, with the ability to take on 3-4 open track days/year. My favorite right now is Continental ExtremeContact DW. Sound like great city/street tires with track capability. Great warranty. I took my car out to a track bare bones stock with Pirelli All Seasons so im sure these would be significantly better.

from what ive heard so far 18" is good size for performance wheels. Im not the rolling on 20" chrome type. I really like the 5 spoke shape. My favorite right now are the O.Z. David 18" (Machined w/Matte Graphite Acct). Although i want performance, i really dont like rims that have something much different than a 5 spoke shape. BBS RGR and O.Z. Alleggerita, sorry but you're just not pretty. even if you are super light.

Any other recommendations?

You're on the right path! The DW is a great tire, I will bring up the Michelin Pilot Super Sport as well. The OZ David is a great option and I do currently have those in stock. I do have them as a close out though, so once we are out of stock they will be gone.

OZ wheels work very well on Audi's, I am a big fan of the fitment and the performance.

Let me know if you want to pick up a set and I will get you a price.
