Default Curb rash - Can I buff it myself?

Hey guys,

I'm Max, 26 and new to this forum. I live in Los Angeles, I just got a lease on a 2014 Audi S5.

Well, this morning I was looking at something else while entering a parking and I hit the curb that is on the gate side.
The car has only 8 days... so pissed !

My question is : Can I fix it myself ? Like this :

Thanks !

i would not recommend that you try to fix it yourself. i had similar curb rash on my driver's side front wheel (from McDonald's no less) and i tried smoothing it out with a low-grit sandpaper. it made it worse. so i took it to the place where i buy my tires and wheels (a mom and pop tire place) and they polished it out for $30. looks almost new.

That's a fairly deep rash, like hef mentioned sanding it down and then priming and polishing the metal (not sure if its painted?) is probably what you'll end up doing.

You should checkout Hero Motorsports | Auto Service | Van Nuys, CA and speak with Kevin. Tell him Amer from Eurotopia sent you, he'll take care of you as he's dealt with this stuff from time to time.
