I have a brand new 2014 A4 and I am looking to get the same 19" 5 spoke whels that were offered as an option for the S4, but not the A4. The dealer wants $725 a rim. But I have seen rims on Factory Original Wheels.com and Allfactory wheels.com for $275-375 per rim.

I am new to the car modification game and have no idea of the pitfalls or ramifications. I would love genuine OEM products but not at over twice the cost.

Any advice would be welcome.

To be honest, I'd go for a good aftermarket set from someone like BBS, Vossen, Forgestar, etc. Aftermarket wheels will typically be lighter and you'll have a better selection of designs as well. They also tend to be cheaper so long as you're not looking to get forged wheels. As an example, a BBS CH-R in 19x8.5 will run around $650 per wheel or $2,600 per set. Personally, I replaced my factory 19" S4 wheels with a set of Vossen CV5's in 20x9 and the pricing was way better than anything that was Audi OE, and it leaves me the flexibility to use my factory 19" wheels for winter. Just a thought.
