Sidewall Damage Due to Hitting Curb, Help!
I just got some 255/35/19 Conti DWS on my Audi A5 about 3 weeks ago. I was taking a right out from a narrow street and heard my right rear tires hit a curb. I looked at it and I had curb rash as well as sidewall damage. It didn't take off the much rubber and it isn't that deep .. but I know sidewall damages are dangerous.
I can't take it into a shop until tomorrow, and I'm just a bit paranoid on what to do. Here is a picture: http://i47.tinypic.com/28v4y9e.jpg If I could get some input that would be great Thank you. |
Looks like you could be a candididate for the 1950's style curb feelers. lol. Seriously, looking at the picture it doesn't look like the tre cords were damaged, so you shuold be able to safely drive till you get a new tire.
