I have a 2009 Audi A4 Quattro with 225/50/17 continentals that need to be replaced.

What I really want is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport but that tire is not available in this size. The questions I have are -

Would it be advisable to move to 245/45/17 just to get this tire ?
If not, what is the next best in line -

My criteria is low noise; treadwear; comfort; handling; looks in that order. At present I do not have the budget to upgrade or change Wheels.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

If you wanted to go to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport there is an optional tire size that will work. You could go to a 245/45R17 and the Super Sport is available in that size.
