A8 Tire/rim combo
Im am interested in changing out the tires/rims on my 2006 A8. I am now running 19" wheels and Bridgestone Serenity tires and am very pleased with the ride, handling and noise level. I am in the market for new tires and when I do buy them I am interested in moving up to 20" wheels and a maybe a little wider tire. Does anyone have any experience either good or bad regarding handling, noise, maintainance etc. Thanks in advance.

 

Probably your best source for this information is the Tire Rack (sponsor) or Discount Tire Company. Both are staffed with professionals.

 

Those are excellent sources for whether that tire /rim combo will fit but I am more interested in hearing from someone that has increased the diameter of his rims and hear their opinion on if they are happy.

 

If you install + tire/wheel combinations, the ride will definitely be firmer. Whether that is acceptable/desireable is a matter of personal choice.
