Tyre wear

I am running 225/35 R19 96Y on my 09 A4 S Line tdi. I don't drive excessively but find they wear within 10000 miles. I have tried contis, Bridgestone and Dunlop max. The Dunlop max on the rear lasted 6000!!! I have taken it to Audi and had the set up checked and the car is fine. I complained to Dunlop but just got fobbed off. Can anyone advise please??

Do you rotate your tyres? What wear-rating are you running? I run Falken ZEIX912's. 205/50-17. The wear-rating is, like 300, I think, and I get 15-18 months out of mine.

Plus, what do you consider "wear"? Modern tires usually have "wear-indicators" built into the tread pattern. Are you saying you're hitting the wear indicators after only 6k - 10k miles? Unless you're driving down gravel roads all day, every day, that seems nearly impossible to fathom. Unless you're drifting every where you go.
