Question Winter wheels - offset difference

Hello!

Trying to figure out if I can use 17" winter rims (I already own them) on my new 2017 A4:

Audi recommends: 7.5 x 17 ET38

I have:
7.5 x 17 ET35

Am I OK without a spacer? 3mm doesn't seem like much, esp since wheels usually have some tolerance for bigger calipers.

Thanks!

I know the recommended offset for your A4 is between 35 to 46. With 35 offset, wheels are going to sit pretty flush. What rims are you planning to get? I've seen some good looking wheels at 4wheelonline like Motegi, Centerline wheels and Niche.
