A1 Gearbox fault
Hi All.
Wife's A1 Auto packed up so removed the Mechatronic unit and sent it back to ECU testing, it was repaired by them about 18 months ago. Got it back and fitted it with new oil. Cleared all the cods, flat battery mainly. Started up and away we went. Done about 10 to15 miles. Very smooth up and down gears. Wife then took it out and came back well impressed.
Wife went out following day and got about 1/4 mile and car would only use 2 and 4 gears and reverse with very rough drive and cog on dash.
Put VCDS on and CODE P173-011 came up. Deleted code, Cog on dash still there along with drive in 2 and 4 and reverse.
I see lots about this code but is there a cure please.
