'98 A4 Avant quatro, 2.8 30 valve. I'm trying to replace my O2 sensors, all 4 of them. I got the two upstream ones replaced. The after-cat downstream ones are making me wonder. Looks pretty easy to get the sensors out. But, the cable goes up into the hump area out of sight heading toward the front. I don't know how I can even re-attach the cables to that anchor that I can see about 8" above the cat. Are there any other anchor points between there and the engine compartment? I think they plug in on the right side of the firewall? Am I correct about that? How do I fish the new cables in? Thinking maybe I can tape the new sensors to the plug end of the old cables and pull them through down to the after cat area? I've done a ton of googling and youtube searches and can't find this info. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

 

Nobody has ever done this replacement?
