2004 Audi allroad 4.2 TIP Torque Converter
Hi,
In September 2016 I purchased a used 2004 AR 4.2. I have already had the timing chain service done last month (5500.00) and now it seems as though my TC is going...bummed because I could have had it done when the engine was out once and had asked the mechanic to check it out while he had it apart. Indont think he did. Anyhow, Will I need to have the engine and trans pulled again or can I just have the Tranny removed? I love-hate this car. No codes for TC but it has all the symptoms, bad gas mileage, low power going up hills, surges upon accelerating while climbing gradual hills and vibration/slight shudder between 45 and 55 mph, and it is at 148,000 miles. Great shape otherwise. Thank you.
