Default Intro and Thanks

Just want to introduce myself and say thanks to CLConversion to pointing me to the forum here. I'm mostly on AW but the folks here are more into the modding and upgrades which is a great thing.

Been an Audi driver since '87 and haven't looked back. Quattro is ideal for our great white north - gotta love it - cant live without it. First ride was an '87 5000S - aka old faithfull. Traded it to a '97 A42.8. Traded that for my current ride a '01.5 A41.8T. All were manual. Wife also has a '03 A42.8 Tip.

CLConversion has been very instrumental in helping me out with the mods to my A41.8T. Was just in the shop yesterday - it was like Christmas! Unwrapped a Brand new K04, full Neuspeed 2.5" exhaust, 317 injectors, 5bar FPR, new plugs, snub mount. Just waiting on a FMIC and fan kit to come in. Also changing over to an adjustable FPR. Doing the Timing Belt and Water pump while the car is open. Porsche Boxster calipers with A8 rotors and SS lines all around. Existing GIAC chip to be remapped for K04. Clutch and Flywheel in the future aswell.

The car is a daily driver so reliability was an issue aswell. Looking forward to when it all goes in.

Attached are some of the pics when the car was new. CL is not a fan of body kits - but when you have a silver A4 - you want it to be a little bit different. I'm going to change the body kit for something a bit more aggressive to go with the Ooooomph!!! Hopefully everything will come to gether in the next few weeks.

Will keep you posted. And thanks once again to CLConversion.

Thanks - the wife's car is still stock - Dolphin Grey. Recently had a run in with a duck - took out the front lower bumper and grill and trim. Going into the shop next week - hopefully not too expensive. I've got pictures of that - feathers plastered into the rad! Damn birds!

I'm hoping to trade hers in next year for an A3 Quattro when they come out.

Hey Bentframe - I stand corrected. You're right its a 3.0. A bit of mental blockage on my part - I never did like the B6 as much as my B5!

I had bought that kit from another AW member awhile back who was parting out. Its about 5 years old now. Its an AvantGarde kit. Fits nice over the lower bumper pieces.

I'll be replacing that kit so it will be for sale - cheap. Winters up here are tough on bodykits. It will need repaint. Front lip is split/cracked but fixable. It's not fiberglass - but a black plastic (ABS? Urothane?)

Real nice car, good luck with it and no duck hunting with a car , you know how Jeff Foxworthy said fast food is not hitting a deer at 60 MPH LOL (if you have watched the blue collar comedy tour)
