Hey guys!

I've recently made my move here to the USA from the UK a more permanent one! hooorah! However, i am still craving things from home and one of them is the fun and build quality of the European cars i'm used to driving!

As a result my spanking gorgeous SUV is up for sale and i'm looking into buying a B6 1.8t avant, or going ***** out and getting a B6 S4!!!

Just wanted to say hi, i've been browsing the forum for an hour or so and there seems to be loads of friendly and clued up people on here so i'm looking forward to finding all the answers to my questions! Anyone local?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Both of those cars are great choices, however very different. I'm leaning with the B6 A4 1.8t, and I would urge you to get an Avant as they are beautiful looking.

The reason I think the A4 would be better is because that style S4 is a 4.2L V8. The 4cyl turbo may keep you happier with the climbing petrol costs.

yeah that is one thing to consider, although as i am from the UK, gas prices would have to get upto circa $12 per gallon before i started to complain.. lol

How tunable is the 1.8t and does anyone have a nicely powered one? are they all 4 wheel drive in the avant form?
