GIAC claimed hp # are dependant on a CAI?!
I just noticed while looking at thisGIAC page http://www.giacusa.com/programs.php?mpid=59. It says "GIAC performance software for the 2002 - 2000 B5 S4® smoothly delivers a 70-80 hp and 80-90 ft-lbs gain. For optimum perfomance the software must be coupled with a cold air intake. " Whats this about a cold air intake, I thought that they actually hurt performance. Does anyone know the what is the GIAC reccommended intake? Also has anyone had good luck emailing them? I emailed a bunch of questions last week and haven't heard anything back (obviously this was one of them).
they just state the CAI comment on all of the vehicles. its not S4 dependent, its there for the other cars. you are correct a CAI doesnt really do anything, but a cat-back does! Dont worry, you dont need one.
