Default Rear noise - Any Ideas?

2000 180Q... 97k on the odo.. All stock... Anyway, a clunking noise in the rear. Towards the passenger side it seems. I assume its suspension related, but I could be wrong. I need to get it on a lift and check the exhaust, because I swapped in a dual outlet exhaust from a 225Q, but I'm pretty sure thats not it.

Do the rear trailing/control arm bushings go bad on these? Shock/strut mount bushing? It makes a noise at any speed. Big bumps and little ones too.. Pretty consistant and really friggin annoying... Its getting worse too.

Goes on a lift this weekend hopefully. I had it up there before and I didn't notice anything, but...

Just make sure you put it up on the lift ASAP, just to make sure it is nothing serious. Probably just the rear bushings there, but lift and check for play.

I had it on a lift about 4 weeks ago, but it was on a drive on style lift and it still had weight on the wheels/suspension.... It was hard to determine.. I need to get it to my dads shop and get it on the 4 post lift... Look for play there...

I was hoping maybe this was a common thing.

don't forget to look at the sway bar end links. Mine are a little screwed up, make a little noise.
