Quick Question about steering vibration
So ever since I got my car the front passenger side always seemed to have the feeling of unbalanced wheel. But it also knocked whenever going down my road. So I replaced a control arm that was obviously worn out. And the problem seemed to go away.
Just recently I had a rear drivers side wheel bearing go bad. And the car was all loose. Fixed that by replacing it. In return, the car drove better than ever. And then I had to be spontaneous and go changing the other side figuring that if one went, the other would soon too. Ever since I replaced the other side there has been a slight vibration in the steering wheel, similar to when you get snow caught in the wheel. But not nearly as bad. Sort of an annoying vibration, the type that bugs you during a 40 mile trip to and from work.
My initial guess is..Hey, get an alignment since I haven't yet. But the kicker is, the vibration is really only when I'm going 55mph.
Unbalanced wheel? Another control arm going bad? (but I don't here any clunking or noises) Or maybe an alignment will just fix it since it seemed to drive fine after changing the one wheel bearing. Maybe I didn't get the other side just right when putting it back together.
I just don't want to spend the $100 for the alignment and then have to change a control arm and get another alignment..ya know? I'm just curious if anyone else has any input on this before I go and take it to a shop for the alignment. Thanks.

my car used to get a smiliar vibration from about 60-75 mph. i had a special balancing of the tires (i think its ride match) but it fixed the vibration. i thought it was worth a try for me because it was like $60 so it was pretty cheap compared to other random fixes.
