Default bite not bark!!!!!

okay.. as many of you may already know.. im getting ready to build my car.. im going either rs6's or k04's... so looking at some exhaust.. if i go 034 motorsports downpipes and an awe cat back.. its close to.. F*@&.. 2000.. if i go downpipes and cat back through ssautochrome.... its..hello.. 350... plus shipping.. thing is.. i dont care what the sound is like.. how does the flow and the quality compare.. see if i can get an extra 40 hp and not have to pay the premium of 1500 bucks.. im happy with that.. here in kentucky we have no emission laws.. so cats are not needed to pass a mandatory smog or obd11 check..

all opinions welcome..

I just went with the ssautochrome because I don't see the purpose of spending $2000 on an exhaust. I've heard no complaints on the ssautochrome.

If you want max power you should put electric dumps right at the bottom of the downpipes, then it dosnt matter what cat-back you have anyway. You just trying to get rid of back pressure, 3" downpipes might flow a little better expeically with big turbos (RS6+) but on k04's and with the dumps it really dosnt matter.

You cant say you havent heard any complaints about SSAC, customer service is awful for one, they are very difficult to communicate with. Fitment is shoddy for the downpipes, some people have had to cut and re-weld to get them to fit right.

If you dont mind that then go for it, thats the only issue with the system it performs just fine. Its basically an AWE knock-off, theres nothing wrong with the sound either. Nothing really sounds bad on a stage 3 car.

if your happy with it get SSAC and some dumps, that $1500 you save will sure get your car done faster!

so what size are the ones they(ssautochrome) offer? i saw nowhere on their site how big the downpipes where, or how big the long pipes after that where.. are they 2.5? 3? 2.25?

WMS runs the SSAC catback on their GT car. I'd go with at least 2.5" downpipes on the RS6's. The only issues with fitment on the SSAC are the hangers.

I'd go with SSAC until you can afford a 3" and if you feel too much back-pressure. But I doubt you will.

yeah.. i think the only reason i might go with the ssac is the long pipes and mufflers, i still may purchase the dp's from 034 motorsports.. im assuming they will just bolt on or maybe minimal fabrication... then id have a cool grand or so in my exhaust..
