Default Going from manual to power sunroof?

I recently found a used power sunroof motor on eBay and bought it because it was cheap. Is it possible to install it into my 1990 80q in place of my manual crank. I'm sure I can find all switches and hardware from a junk yard... Anyone even attempted this???

Default RE: Going from manual to power sunroof?

If it were me I wouldn't bother. My understanding of the electric sunroof setup was that it wasn't very robust. I think you'd be better off from a maintenance perspective with the manual sunroof.

When I still had the car, I tried fixing mine 2 or 3 times until I gave up. Just wasn't worth the hassle.
