Default Good deal?

So, I'm about to get my license soon, and a4's just seem like an amazing car to me. So, I was searching through CL, looking for 01's-04's, and passed through this 03. I'm just wanting to know if this is a some what a good deal, and what are the pros and cons via manual and tiptronic. If you have any recommendations on other cars to look at lmk

Thanks

Link expired. But if you're a new driver and a young(er) kid, then an A4 is probably not the best first car unless you or your parents have deep pockets. They're not prohibitively expensive, but they take regular maintenance and a reasonable amount of gentle care. If you beat the crap out of them, they will respond by breaking very expensive parts. Now if you are responsible and mature (as I can detect by your forum name), maybe no problem.

I Agree with ppgoal

For a first car get a beater... even though a few year old A4 can cost like 10-11k, parts etc can be extremely expensive. I wouldn't say i beat the crap out of my baby, but i do use the turbo a bit Sure my accelerations will kick me in the **** eventually haha

I'd get a used maxima, civic, or something along those lines. Cheaper and cheaper to maintain

Yeah, the person sold it D=. Ohh, I see hmmm it's just that I've started working in the summer, and hopefully using it up on my first car ;D. So I guess I'll be looking at other cars, it's just that there's something about a4's...that catches my attention.

Heres another 03 I was looking at, any more recommendations for other cars?

Thanks for the replies!

Unless you got about 6 grand added to the price of the car to keep up with the maintenance then don't buy it. Buy yourself something small and japanese to get around for your first car. Unless your parents are paying for the whole thing completely then you should be alright, just make sure you parents become forums members to solve the small issues that you're gonna put on the car.
