Concerns about long nonstop roadtrip
In a couple weeks I'll be driving about 1400 miles to Maine. The problem is that I'm very pressed for time. I'm unable to leave until the 3rd and I need to be there on the night of the 4th. This means I won't be able to stop for any lengthy period of time, Luckily I'll have two other drivers to take over when I'm tired. I'd like to stop every 200 to 400 miles for no more than 30 minutes each time.
Is this type of marathon driving likely to cause any significant harm to my car? If so, how should I alter my driving schedule for this trip without sacrificing too much time?

I drove back from the east side of Virginia non-stop back to Michigan in my 97 right after I bought it. I just had them give it a full inspection and change the oil. Only thing I wonder about is your turbo and cool down time if needed. Someone should chime in that has one. Just do an inspection or pay $20 and have one done for peace of mind. Or get AAA

Shouldn't be a problem as long as your car is well maintained. Make sure you do a fresh oil change, check coolant levels, check any leaks, check brakes and check tire pressure and make sure your tires are at the correct pressure and still roadworthy. Other than that enjoy your trip!
No worries if your car is in good shape. Turbo will be fine - in steady cruising you will rarely be boosting. Do what the other guys said and bring a few basics with you - quart of oil, jug of water, a can of fix-a-flat, and some basic tools and hit the road
Bring a camera too - you'll have some scenic driving time.

Should not be a problem, I know 3 people that have done the coast to coast 3000+ mile drive in their A4's. One of them was even just fully modified to 425+whp and then driven from my house in socal to RI.
i think everybody has given good advice but something that is bothering me is why drive? isnt that what they invented airplanes for? the only thing i can think of is your going off to college and want a car...
Location: South Georgia, soon to be Maine
Good catch Mike, lol. I am moving to Maine.
I'm actually separating from the Air Force and pursuing civilian employment in my career field, but also plan on going to school up there as well.
425whp!?! I want that big turbo setup so bad!
