I don't know if this is old news/repost but a friend of mine told me that he was over at AudiWorld and that a well-respected source has confirmed that the new B7 Q is actually putting out approx. 220chp and not the 200 claimed by AoA.

APR and a couple of other dyno houses have been getting between 177 - 185 stock at the wheels, putting chp at around 220?

Maybe Jest or someone can confirm this info?

 

Yeah i've been reading this on the forums. Audi typically understates their hp ratings. This has been confirmed on the B7 with many dyno runs.

 

With the fsi its going to vary from dyno to dyno and conditions.

 

That's pretty cool... but that wouldn't effect chipped hp ratings! And I doubt I could own a b7 for a week without chipping it!

 

Where is your info on this? That is true with any engine/dyno.
