In September 1993, in Italy, I bought a new Audi 80 2.0i. It's done 150,000 miles. It's now in France.

Recently it's been hesitating, especially when cold. My garage tells me it's the injectors. They have a piece of kit which cleans injectors. If that does not work it's four new injectors at $U.S.200 EACH (!!!) from Audi France. There has to be a better way.

Should I go for the cleaning, or should I go for new?

If new, can you point me at a Stateside source? My son lives in New York and is coming to France in two weeks.

The body plate says WAUZZZ8CZPA154478, and stamped into the engine block is 048103373. I hope that's enough info to identify the part number for the injectors.

Many thank for any assistance. Tom

lots of stuff on the market for cleaning the fuel system, having the injectors removed for cleaning is a last resort

Wow!! I assume these are all pour-in-the-tank remedies. Any particular one you recommend?

Thanks for the fast response. Tom

I use the REDX but they all have good properties you just need to read the label and ensure it can be used with a catalyst

I decided to relace the injectors. Two hours of Googling did not give me a part number. On the timing chain cover is a label (in German) that tells me the engine indentification letters are ABK. Can you tell me a part number please? Thanks.
