Default Audi 80 Quattro AC

Hi, i am trying to get my Cars AC to work. 1st off the compressor clutch would not engage so i re shimmed it. Now it will engage when i jump it straight to the battery but i can not get it to turn on with the switch in the car. The switches in the car light up and turn the engine cooling fan on. I checked for voltage at the compressor and found none. then i went to the pressure switches once again nothing. I pulled the two 214 aircondition relays" they were quit warm" and replaced them with two spares i had with the same results."wheb i pulled the 214 relays the enegine cooling fan shut off." There is one relay i do not know what it is for it's number is 213 and says relief relay i do not has a spare for it so i have not tried it. Any help would be great i love my car but it is miserable when it is 95 and no AC.

Currently the air condition is not charged. I believe it has a small leak. but when i recharged it last summer even with a full charge i was not getting voltage at the compressor.

The 80Q has a digital controller you should be able to pull error codes of off the unit. Probably one of the multitude of temperature sensors has crapped out or the flap servo needs to be replaced. My 100Q uses a similar if not the same system and my AC used to cutout after about 30 minutes. I had to replace the multifunction temperature sensor and the servo flap regulator. Of course loosing R12 due to a small leak is not going to help. Also R134 has smaller molecular structure and will leak through hoses and O-rings designed for R12.
