I have a 96 a4 quattro with the 2.8 12 valve v6 with a bad engine. I found a 96 a4 that has been wrecked with the 12 valve v6 but it is front wheel drive. Are the engines compatible as far as takiNg the non quattro engine and putting it in quattro car.

 

They should be the same engine. However, if one engine was made for an automatic transmission and the other a manual transmission, then they might not be compatible.
