I know there have been several posts regarding this, but I was interested in replacing the original mirror caps with these They're from goingfast.org, pretty reasonable pricing ($119 + S&H), but they're chrome, I was looking for something similar to the S/RS-line with the brushed aluminum/matte finish. Does anyone know of any place that actually sells brushed aluminum caps? I could always get the OEM caps from an RS6 but that's about $600. If I was to get these chrome mirror caps, would I be able to lightly sand them to give that brushed look without damaging the material?

I ordered a set brand new Alu Caps for my S4 last month and they look great. Price was around 150 USD.

you could achive the "brushed" look by lightly scuffing the chrome with a scotchbrite pad or like 800 grit or higher sandpaper then spraying some clear over it to set and make cleaning easier

That website doesn't work when I try to open it. Maybe later. I've been looking for some brushed ones but it's near impossible to find them and Audi is crazy to sell them for $600 bucks. I've always thought about taking it to a local paint shop and having them paint the caps with a brushed aluminum color? Probably way cheaper than buying them.
