does anyone know if audi recommends any brand of coolant. i'm in need of some and don't want to order it online. looking for somthing i can pick up at the local autozone. thanks.

 

not sure if you can get something for it at autozone but search some audi sites online im sure they have something if u just dont want to go and get the factory coolant, also if your gonna put something in it other than the factory coolant make sure u change the whole thing, not sure but im pretty confident that u shouldnt mix

 

Dunno if there's any difference brand-to-brand, just use "orange stuff" or "green stuff"...I know mine is orange. Just check what's in your coolant tank and make sure to match it. If you use the wrong kind, it'll turn to jelly in your engine.


Oh yeah, and make sure to add the appropriate amount of distilled water into the mix...I think it's a 50-50 ratio. When I just topped mine off, I didn't need to add water, but you need to if you're flushing the entire system. Ask the dudes at AutoZone, they'll know.
