What to buy and what to avoid
I am in the market for a new car, and since I am posting here, you know what I am looking for. I have a supercharged BMW 318, nice, but long in the tooth. It has been a very nice ride now for eight years, but things change. I have always liked the A4. I am looking for a 2002-4. and was asking anyone out there what to watch out for. I know a lot about BMWs, and very little about Audis. Could anyone recommend a model, typical faults, things I must look out for? Any help would be appreciated, John.

It really depends on 2 things, 1-Your price range and 2-if you plan on modding it or not.
If you plan on modding it for performance (even something as simple as a chip) get a 1.8t. If you don't want to mod an just want something reliable, go with the 3.0. There is a supercharger for the 3.0 for $5,300.
If you can locate one, get an UltraSport model. It has painted lowers and is pretty rare.
