Default Avoid the sludge

I have been reading that people experince the oil pressure light coming on, and after further investigation it is sometimes caused by oil sludge clogging certain areas of the engine. My question is of course how can this be avoided?

ya main thing is using synthetic oil and the larger oil filter found at the dealer or online sites like ecs for better circulation and 3k mile oil change intervals would be a real safe.

Kind of like how old people are put on blood thinners to prevent clotting and have kindney transplants for better filtration of the nastiness and more frequent doctor appointments. Treat your 1.8t as if it were your Grandma and it will all be good.

You should use one of the approved engine oils. I change the oil every 10K mi.
with a standard filter, and don't have sludge. I now have 112K mi.
