Ok so i took my 99 audi to the shop to get a inspection...the guy says that it wont pass because the top light on my tailight doesnt light up when he steps on the brakes....

now i'm thinking that it doesnt light up anyways, am i right.....what is that top light for?

 

its the rear fog light. all audi's are like that (b5's)


EDIT: guess my answer was kinda vague. your car only has one rear fog light not 2 so only 1 lights up. many a audi driver has been pulled over for this but thats just how they were made

 

Find another inspection shop with people who actually know what the hell there doing.
