Lowering Help!
Hey, i have a 1997 Audi a4 2.8q It is my first car and i have been trying to find some adjustable lowering springs for it for the longest time. Does anyone know which ones work the best for the car or does anyone know where i can pick up a set. I'm 16 so I am hoping that they will be relitively cheap. Also does anyone have a set of wheels and tires for sale, new or used? My budget is around 1000 usd for the wheels. If you have anything else let me know!
Thanks in advance, Brody

You want coilovers. Adjustable coil over spring setup. Koni, H & R, bilstein, etc.
You can buy springs alone, but they are not adjustable.

i would like to keep the cost around 250, is this possible for a decent setup? It's just going to be used for the street not the track. What ones do I want?

No, you need like a thousand or so for coilovers. If you just get lowering springs, it will blow out your shocks unless you have the sport shocks already. By the time you get springs and sport shocks, you may as well spend a little more and get adjustable coilovers.
hey im lookin to do the same mod. i'm 16 as well with a b5 2.8 as my first car. our car's can't be fast unless supercharged so im just deciding to make it look nice until i am older. im just looking to lower it and put new wheels on my car and maybe a catback and chip.
you can just simply replace the springs but within a year they will blow ur shocks. the way to do it is to replace the springs and shocks at the same time so you dont need to tear the suspension apart again.
